Dongguan Inmost Mansion Sales Center
EK Design have once again created a bold combination of architecture, interior design and landscape planning, playing a fascinating game of light in a white box building. The architectural concept is to create a box game where light can enter the space. The building is like a half-opened box, with staggered openings on the roof allowing light to penetrate, flooding the interior with sunlight. This forms a charming, dynamic structure.
The vertical space and the reflection of natural sunlight on the building creates an effect of light and shadow. This light reconstructs the object's ‘inherent colour’. The interdependent colors are then transformed into a visual impression, and the fettered story of light and colour can be retold.。
Basic geometric form has long occupied a commanding position in the world of aesthetics. The interior of the building, as it extends from its architectural form, is full of the natural power and beauty of its geometric structure. The concept of deconstruction has awakened a certain aesthetic consciousness. We translate the abstract structure into stark yet simple geometric forms, before disassembling and displacing them to achieve the most comfortable fit.
The surface is fine, the material both heavy and delicate, displaying the noble temperament inherent in marble. Under this balance of colour and density, there is no longer any feeling of distance or coldness, representing instead an invitation, one which is both humble and attractive.
